Welcome to

Fordham Avenue Kinder

We highly recommend if you are interested in exploring our kindergarten that you book a tour. Children are welcome to attend. The Enrolment Officer will conduct the tour. The teachers may not have much time to chat as they will be occupied with the children. Enrolments for 2027 are open from 1st May to 30th June in 2026. You can still register with the Council after 30 June 2026, however you will not be included in the first round of offers unless you meet the priority of access criteria.

We have limited vacancies in our First Year and Second Year groups for 2026. Please call Boroondara Council to secure your spot.

Tours of Fordham Avenue Kindergarten can be booked here.

We are thrilled to share that FAK were successful in our application for funding from the Victorian School Building Authority to support a playground upgrade at our kinder. The funding has been provided through the Department of Education as part of the Building Blocks Improvement grants program. The committee engaged Urban Discovery to support the playground design and redevelopment throughout 2025, and are very excited to now share the completed playgrounds with families.

Our Philosophy

We believe that early childhood is a precious time. It encompasses the formative years of a child’s life and is a time to be honoured and treasured. We see the young child as strong and capable - and with a wealth of understanding and experiences prior to beginning their journey at Kindergarten, bringing this richness through culture and connection into our program. We believe that children learn best when strong, meaningful relationships are made, and deeper listening is active.
